Melvin Hirata

Senior Director and Acting General Manager, ZEVIO Product Line

Melvin Hirata joined Magnum in July of 2007, when the company acquired the Consumer Products Group from LSI. He has nearly two decades of experience in semiconductors and related technology industries.

Most recently Hirata was director of marketing at LSI, managing product and customer marketing for custom solutions in the Consumer Products Group. During more than 10 years at LSI he also worked as ASIC marketing manager in LSI’s Japan office and marketing director for the Digital Imaging Business Unit. Hirata held previous positions at Motorola as a CMOS digital/analog design engineer and associate director of engineering at MagiNet KK, a start-up company in Japan.

Hirata holds a BSEE degree from the University of Hawaii.
