Magnum Semiconductor Names Bernie Sardinha as VP OperationsSeasoned Industry Exec Rounds Out Management Team at Rapidly Growing Pre-IPO Chip MakerThu, Jan 29th, 2009MILPITAS, CA - January 29, 2009 - Magnum Semiconductor, Inc. today announced that Bernie Sardinha has joined as Vice President, Operations. "Bernie brings relentless focus on manufacturing for quality at the lowest possible cost," said Gopal Solanki, President and CEO of Magnum Semiconductor. "His contributions in design for manufacturability have already begun to percolate throughout the Magnum organization. I greatly value his expertise and leadership at this critical juncture, as we continue on our rapid growth curve." Sardinha concurs. "Magnum's world-class semiconductors for the professional broadcast and consumer electronics markets have enjoyed tremendous success, as evidenced by the growing shipment volumes and number of top-tier OEMs serviced. Sardinha has more than 20 years of IC industry experience in Operations, Product Test, Quality and Reliability. Prior to Magnum, he served as VP of Operations at Teranetics, Inc, and before that as VP of Operations at Velio Communications (acquired by LSI Logic). Prior to Velio, Sardinha was a founding member and VP Manufacturing of Telecruz, a startup that created the first single-chip solution for Internet TV in 1998.
