Magnum Semiconductor Strengthens Executive Team in Sales & Marketing, Strategy, and Technology

Broadcast Veteran Gal Garniek will Accelerate Pre-IPO Chip Maker’s Professional Video Strategy while Magnum’s Bob Saffari Takes New Role Leading Strategy and Technology

MILPITAS, CA - May 1, 2009 - Magnum Semiconductor, Inc. today announced that Gal Garniek has joined as Vice President, Sales & Marketing Broadcast.

With the addition of Garniek in the Sales & Marketing role, Magnum veteran Bob Saffari will take on a new role as Vice President, Strategy & Technology. Solanki says "Bob has been pivotal in building our broadcast business, and is a key thought leader within Magnum. In particular, he has been the key influencer in building the strategy of the company to one that starts with Broadcast servers and extends end-to-end to clients.  In this role, I have asked Bob to be the steward of Magnum's technology leadership."

Prior to joining Magnum, Garniek held the position of Associate VP Marketing North America, Scopus Video Networks, as well as various positions at Harmonic Inc, including Management of Harmonic Switched Digital Solution and Team Management of its Stream Processing lines. Before Harmonic Garniek was part of Comview Graphics - an Image Processing startup.

Garniek holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, Israel's Institute of Technology.
