Magnum Semiconductor to Demonstrate Advanced Audio/Video Technology at Consumer Electronics Show 2007 in Las Vegas

Who: Magnum Semiconductor is a provider of audio/video IC solutions including chips, software and reference designs for recording, managing and exchanging audio/video content. Magnum is a key supplier to leading manufacturers of DVD recorders, digital media centers, digital TVs, portable media recorders and digital camcorders.

What: Magnum Semiconductor will be demonstrating the next generation of silicon and software technologies for recording, managing, and exchanging audio and video contents for both portable and in-home applications.

Technology demonstrations will include Magnum’s complete hardware and software solutions for:

• “Trick-Play” features built directly into television sets, like pause of live broadcasts, instant replay, and skipping commercials
• Digital Media Centers that record, playback, archive and manage consumer video content from multiple sources
• Networking to move files and stream audio and video between computers, Digital Media Centers, and televisions
• Ultra wide-band solutions that move audio and video between systems, or play back audio and video on a television, without cables or wires
• ATSC (North American) or DVB-T (European) digital broadcast solutions for personal video recorders or digital media centers
• Digital camcorder and portable media player/recorder solutions
