Magnum Semiconductor Expands Board

Key Industry Participants to Serve on Board of Directors and Advisory Board

Milpitas, Calif., May 24, 2007 -- Magnum Semiconductor today announced that José Suarez, managing director of Investor Growth Capital, has been elected to the Company’s Board of Directors, and that David Lee, founder and former CEO of Silicon Image, has agreed to serve as a member of the Company’s Advisory Board.

Mr. Suarez has been elected to fill a new seat which has been opened on the Board of Directors as a result of the lead role taken by Investor Growth Capital in Magnum’s just-completed round of venture financing. Mr. Suarez is a managing director in the Menlo Park, California office of Investor Growth Capital.

Mr. Suarez has been involved in venture capital since 1997, and focuses on semiconductors and hardware systems. He currently holds Board seats at Atrenta, Inc., eSilicon Corporation, Innovative Micro Technology and Millennium Microtech. Mr. Suarez has a B.A. in Asian Studies from Dartmouth College.

Dr. Lee has joined the company as a member of the Advisory Board. In this newly-created role, he will participate with the Board of Directors in advising and guiding the executive staff on strategy and directions for the Company. Dr. Lee is Chairman and CEO of VMark, Inc., a start-up company focusing on interactive video and new advertising models for digital broadcasting.

Dr. Lee founded Silicon Image in 1995 and served as the company’s Chairman and CEO through November of 2004. Dr. Lee was a driving force behind the development, implementation and industry acceptance of several current audio/video standards, including DVI (Digital Visual Interface) and HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface). He has also worked at Sun Research laboratories and Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC). Dr. Lee received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from U.C. Berkeley.
