Magnum Semiconductor Bolsters Executive Team

Executives with Broad Industry Experience Join the Company in Key Finance and Marketing Roles

Milpitas, Calif., May 24, 2007 -- Magnum Semiconductor today announced that Terry Griffin has joined the Company as vice president of finance and chief financial officer (CFO), and Steve Musallam has come aboard as vice president of marketing. Both positions will report to Jack Guedj, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Magnum.

“Terry Griffin is a hands-on, seasoned financial executive with both private and public company experience in accounting, financings, mergers and acquisitions, and SEC reporting,” said Guedj, adding, “He has a great breadth of experience to draw upon to help guide and manage our growth in the coming years.” Guedj also noted, “Steve Musallam comes to Magnum with a great deal of consumer audio/video experience. Steve will play a critical role in defining, executing, and launching our follow-on generations of high-definition video ICs, software, and system platforms.”

Griffin, a certified public accountant, brings over twenty years of financial and management experience, in both the system and semiconductor industries. He was most recently vice president of finance and CFO of Applied Imaging Inc and has also served as VP and CFO for Symphonix Devices, Zangle, and InSync Systems, a $100 Million supplier of sub-systems for the semiconductor industry. He has a B.S. in accounting from Loyola Marymount University.

Musallam brings to the Magnum team over fifteen years of experience in marketing ICs to the consumer electronics industry, with a primary focus on audio/video technology. Most recently he was vice president of product marketing for Mobilygen. Prior to Mobilygen, Musallam was responsible for marketing at Divio (acquired by ESS Technology in 2003) and C-Cube Microsystems (acquired by LSI Logic in 2001). During his career, Musallam has been responsible for defining and launching some of the industry’s first single-chip MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and H.264 audio/video codecs.

He holds a BSEE degree, with emphasis in microprocessor architectures, from California Polytechnic State University, San Louis Obispo.
