Primary Responsibilities:
Preparation of marketing collateral (data sheet, errata, technical manual, reference design development kit, schematics, design guide and user manual) for Magnum products
Track bug fix and errata status of Magnum products
Preparation of reference platform
Define requirement by consolidating customer/market requests
Write Platform Requirement document including ROI, development kit collaterals and Platform Development Schedule for approval
Work with System group to coordinate development plan
Be hands on to provide system demonstration to customers
Provide Tactical support to Field Sales Team
Prepare customer proposals and presentations
Feature and schedule negotiation with the field and manage customer expectation
Coordinate with Engineering to provide response to customer
Take a support role on BOM, performance, and competitive products analysis
Education:
BS EE, CS, or related field, Master’s a plus
5+ years of technical product marketing in video related and System-on-a-chip semiconductor
Must have prior experience in bringing new chips to the market particularly in preparation of market collateral and reference designs
Prior system development experience on reference designs like STB, DVD Player/Recorder or DVB/ATSC related products
Strong presentation and verbal skills, extensive interaction with customers, sales, and engineering
Fluent in Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Visio
Prior experience (2 years) with H.264 technology and related applications a plus
Field application experience in DVB, Set-top Box, DVD Playback /Recorder related products a plus
Working knowledge of digital video systems including DVD, DVB PVR, DVB STB, MPEG, H.264
Good understanding on H.264 profile, level and features
Embedded system bring up and development environment
Embedded software for consumer electronics with Nucleus and Linux OS
Digital Television Broadcast Standards: DVB; ARIB (Japan), ATSC (US) a plus
Familiarity with DVB system, middleware and system requirement a plus including. TNT, Free view, MHEG and Digital Gemstar
Ability to travel up to 25% both domestic and international

in Milpitas, CA to define and implement the DFT and Design for Debug (DFD) hardware on our next generation Media Processor SOC. This SOC will embody the latest techniques in audio/video processing, encoding/decoding, signal processing and silicon technology. In addition, this candidate will have broad DFT responsibilities encompassing both legacy and future generations of consumer as well as professional media processing chips.
Job Responsibilities:
Define and implement the DFT and DFD architecture of next generation Media Processor
Implement techniques for maintaining the integrity of various content protection schemes in the presence of DFT structures
Deploy test compaction techniques
Implement Memory BIST using commercial tools, but ensure that power and control overhead is minimized
Adapt DFT techniques for low power
