The successful candidate will work with a small group of engineers to architect and develop embedded applications on Magnum Semiconductor's next generation media processor. The group develops bootcode, inner loop assembly code and device drivers for a highly optimized and proprietary multi-RISC media processor. The group also develops middleware and application code, optimizing system and memory performance. Finally the group works on pre-silicon modeling and architecture as well as encode/transcode/display quality tuning. The group interacts daily with VLSI and Systems teams on a variety of topics including architecture, modeling, and various levels of debugging/verification. You will also be responsible for coordinating certain project activities within the group, and will have ownership of specific design areas.
